Snap Cubes for Primary 3 problem solving

So I bought these Snap Cubes last year, in preparation for homeschooling the tot. Can't remember the exact price, but it was about $20+ for 250 cubes, from The Learning Store. Great quality, snap on and off with a satisfying pop, heh heh, no sharp edges, uniform size and holes, Lego-type plastic.

Other than build different shapes out of it, the older two have not used them for their school math. Until today.

Big boy (P3) is learning how to use comparison models to solve simple word problems, and he was totally at a loss. So I brought out these snap cubes to help him understand the unit concept, and he caught on after a bit. He was able to solve the second question on his own, other than the long division, which he has not yet learnt (but the students were expected to solve with. Duh?).
